BrightTALK® Launches Online Events Unit

BrightTALK® is launching the world’s first online event organiser & consultancy for business information, non-profit-making associations and international corporations.

London (PRWEB) January 11, 2006 -– BrightTALK® Ltd. is a world-leader of webcasting, web conferencing, webinar, email marketing and rich media portal technology & services. As a cutting edge technology & service provider in these areas, BrightTALK® is launching the world’s first online event organiser & consultancy for business information & media companies, non-profit-making associations and international corporations.

The online events business will be led by Val-Pierre Genton, formerly Managing Director of e-Symposium Ltd., who pioneered the e-Symposium™ format, the online equivalent of an offline conference. Typically held over one day, an e-Symposium™ will focus on a niche market segment (e.g. Forensic Science, Biometrics, Climate Change) and feature live presentations and round table debates by world-leading experts in that given sector. Delegates register free of charge, or on a paid-for basis, and can listen to and interact with industry experts from the convenience of their own workplace. Other features such as an exhibition, a chatroom for delegates, a poster area, a blog and live support all ensure that the benefits of the offline conference are delivered successfully online.

But the e-Symposium™ format is not the only string to the BrightTALK® bow. The e-Club™ is an online interactive business club which is broadcast on a weekly or monthly basis to a focused user community. And of course there is the e-Forum™, the online interactive round table format. All live formats are archived and made available 48 hours after the event.

“Media houses are finding that some of their offline events require an enormous amount of resource for very little return. By keeping their successful offline events and by migrating the less profitable events online, media companies can drastically reduce risk and generate a new, profitable revenue source,” says Val-Pierre Genton.

It seems that BrightTALK® is right on the money. VNU, major international information and media company is now a client and Incisive Media plc, a fast growing specialist business information provider runs numerous e-Clubs™ currently and launched it’s first e-Symposium™ in February.

According to Val-Pierre Genton, non-profit-making associations also seem to be warming to the concept of running global online conferences: “With its accessibility for delegates, speakers and sponsors alike, we are finding that non-profit-making associations are also embracing this new way of ‘eventing’. The way in which online events stimulate knowledge sharing and global dialogue is very synergetic with their mission.”

BrightTALK® and the hosts are not the only ones to be satisfied. Delegates are happy and when delegates are happy, sponsors are too: GlaxoSmithKline, Computer Associates, Sony, Philips, Panasonic, Schroders, HSBC and Mellon Financial are but a few.

“We are delighted that Val-Pierre will be driving this new business unit and are excited at the prospect of powering more of the world’s leading associations, corporations and business information & media companies,” says Paul Heald, CEO of BrightTALK® Ltd.
