Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) January 12, 2006 -- lauckgroup, Inc., an interior architecture firm with over two decades of experience creating interiors for leading organizations, will design Carrington Coleman Sloman & Blumenthal, L.L.P’s new 85,000 square foot office located at 901 Main Street, Dallas, Texas.
The leading Dallas-based law firm is moving from Crescent Court where it has been located for over 15 years.
“We selected lauckgroup for our new location because of their reputation and extensive expertise in law firm design. We wanted a light, open, and practical office space and are very pleased with their good work," said David Coale, a partner of the law firm.
lauckgroup’s design of Carrington Coleman’s new headquarter location includes the extensive use of diffused natural and interior lighting to create an open, high-energy atmosphere. The reception area, client center and multipurpose room showcase dramatic views of downtown Dallas. Attorney offices, located on the perimeter of the building, feature floor-to-ceiling translucent glass fronts to extend the reach of natural light. Fretted and clear glass is used instead of hard walls in many spaces. A staircase, connecting the three floors of the office, is set against an internally illuminated wall. An internally lighted atrium is located in the center of each floor plate.
Another key facet of the office is showcasing the firm’s substantial contemporary artwork collection. Lighting is used to optimize viewing of the artwork throughout the space. Materials to be used include limestone flooring, and the warm color tones and linear patterning of rift-cut white oak paneling for offices and secretarial stations.
“Carrington Coleman sought a streamlined environment that was forward-thinking in terms of innovative design and the needs of the firm as it expanded,” said Brigitte Preston, Design Principal, lauckgroup. “Our goal in terms of design is to keep occupants connected to the outdoors in an energized space. The new space will be light-filled, modern and open, using the space efficiently, while also maximizing comfort and functionality.”
Updated workspace configurations and upgraded technology components will be incorporated throughout the new office. lauckgroup has also created a new document storage strategy for the firm, employing compact rolling units that are high capacity and unobtrusive.
Carrington Coleman’s new office is slated to be completed April 2006.
lauckgroup has designed law offices for leading firms including Jenkens & Gilchrist, Austin; Baker Botts, Austin; Locke Liddell & Sapp, Dallas, Austin, New Orleans; and Weil Gotshal & Manges, Dallas.
