Poughkeepsie, NY (PRWEB) January 12, 2006 -- Cupid.com/PreDating (www.cupid.com/predating), North America's largest speed dating company, announced today that it will attempt to establish the Guinness™ World Record for the largest simultaneous speed dating event ever held in one evening. About 125 Cupid.com/PreDating parties are scheduled to be held in more than 100 cities in the US and Canada on Wednesday evening, February 8th -- just in time for Valentine’s Day. In all, it is anticipated that more than 4,800 eligible singles will participate in the record-breaking event, which equates to about 43,200 6-minute speed dates in one evening.

Reservations are now being accepted for the February 8th events. Provided the requisite elements are fulfilled, Guinness World Records, Ltd. will certify the event following its conclusion and it may be listed in the next edition of the Guinness Book of World Records.
