The suspensful thriller Wait Until Dark written by Frederick Knott will be presented by the Athena Theatre Company at the Lounge Theatre in Hollywood from February 16 through March 25, 2006.
Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) January 12, 2006 -- Athena Theatre Company opens its 2006 season with the suspense thriller Wait Until Dark directed by Cate Caplin. A Broadway hit, this masterfully constructed thriller moves from one moment of suspense to another. Sinister con man Roat (Lorin McCraley of Redondo Beach) and two ex-convicts, Mike and Carlino (Jon Emm of Los Angeles and John Richard Petersen of Aliso Viejo), have traced the location of a mysterious doll to the apartment of Sam Hendrix (Tim Maloney of Glendale) and his blind wife Susy (Véronique Ory of Valley Village).
Susy refuses to reveal the location of the doll, and with the help of young neighbor Gloria (Samantha Klein of Studio City), figures out she is the victim of a bizarre charade. Soon, a deadly game of cat and mouse ensues between Susy and the con-men, full of twists and turns that will have the audience in suspense! Policemen played by Peter O’Keefe of Gardena and Rod Simmons of Inglewood round out the cast. An incredible team works behind the scenes on this production, including Set Designer Jennifer Fulmer, Lighting Designer Michael Bergfeld, Sound Designer John Bobek, and Production Stage Manager Kevin Jordan. Wait Until Dark will play at the Lounge Theatre on Theater Row in Hollywood at 6201 Santa Monica Blvd. from February 16th thru March 25th, every Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8:00 pm.
