We just take that last big step and make it easy for people to control both.
Miami, FL (PRWEB) January 11, 2006
maccontrol LLC®, a Florida corporation, is pleased to announce the launch of its first products at Macworld Expo San Francisco in booth #2329.
The debut line includes a remote and a connector that control home entertainment gear in an innovative and streamlined way. Via their home’s existing Airport network, users can control their home entertainment system from their Mac, or they can access their Mac and home entertainment system from the maccontrol remote.
The maccontrol connector operates up to four infrared or serial devices, including the iPod®, connecting them via Airport Extreme to a Mac and/or maccontrol remote. The maccontrol remote uses Bonjour to locate and control any maccontrol connector, and is even capable of setting up and using connectors without a Mac. The simple set-up process tailors the system to each user’s individual needs, allowing them to operate every aspect of their home theater with ease.
“With the iPod, Airport Express, and Front Row, Apple® has done an amazing job of bridging the gap between the computer and home entertainment systems.” says Douglas Hirsch, Managing Director. “We just take that last big step and make it easy for people to control both.”
maccontrol is available for pre-order at the Macworld Expo with a special discount only for Macworld attendees. Normally, a bundle including a remote and a connector is $799.90, but during the Expo the bundle is just $649. The product will ship the second quarter of 2006.
maccontrol® brings your Mac and your home entertainment system together. The company has designed the first system to control any home stereo or entertainment system wirelessly from a Mac. Maccontrol is committed to developing intelligent and empowering home control solutions for Mac users who appreciate the difference.
