Free Help for Parents: Getting Kids Involved in Internet Business

Parents are encouraged to claim a free “Parent’s Getting Started Guide” to teach their children how they can inexpensively start their own online business.

Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) January 13, 2006 -- As more children are getting involved with entrepreneurship, Internet Based Kidsä shows parents how they can get their children involved with a business that is fun and doesn’t require a lot of start-up cash.

“When I started the Internet Based Kidsä website, I had a lot of parents emailing me asking how they could secure loans for tens of thousands per dollars so their children could start their own businesses,” says owner Alice Seba, “Frankly, I was surprised to hear this question because that’s not what we want to teach people. I want to encourage parents to help their kids develop a business that isn’t going to send the family into debt or require them clutter their house with a bunch of inventory.”

This prompted Seba to put together a free guide that would give parents a good overview of what it takes to get their children started with their own website and potentially profitable online business. The guide includes information on how to do market research and choose an appropriate website topic; how to make money with a website; and how to inexpensively build a website without any special training.

When asked what exactly is required to get children to start their own business online, Seba said, “It sounds really simple and ultimately it is. It’s precisely what I’ve been doing and teaching others to do since 2002. Kids can create an informational website based around a particular theme or subject. This means, they might be able to build a website about her favorite hobby or particular interest or particular interest.

“Children can earn money by recommending the products of other online companies and when they make a sale, they earn a commission. There are many large and reputable websites running these commission-based programs that are commonly known as ‘affiliate programs’. Companies like Wal-mart, eBay and PetSmart all use affiliate programs to continue the growth of their online sales. There is no charge for participating in these programs, which can be a very viable income opportunity.”
