Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) January 14, 2006 -- Indie Film Force, announces an open Call for Entries for its First Annual Charlotte Film Festival, taking place September 15 – 17, 2006 in uptown Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Festival is intended to celebrate and expose independent moviemakers everywhere whom, by the mere existence of their creation, defy and define a system that tends to ignore them. It is a festival committed to rewarding the artists that, despite their challenges and restrictions, are able to produce movies rich with stories that not only entertain but also touch us on a deeply human level.

The Festival is a competition and it will present eight awards totaling $4,400.00 in cash and in-kind prizes. The awards will be given to films in four categories: Narrative Feature, Narrative Short, Documentary Feature, and Documentary Short.

This year’s festival theme is “Office Stories”. This means that its selections will be peppered with films whose stories are centered around the office. The Festival emphasizes, however, that while quality films that match this theme stand greater chances of being accepted, it is making its selection based on each film’s overall quality, first.
