Krystali, the New York and London based custom Swarovski rhinestone mobile cell phone design studio have revealed their latest designs. President George W Bush, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and a tribute to the late Pope John Paul II.
Now Krystali wants to put everyone’s face on their phones. As long as that face fits.
“We can produce any design or image in rhinestones on any phone or other item” said Philip Parrott, creator of Krystali. “A journalist asked if we would or could do a phone with President Bush on. This got us thinking and along with George W Bush we added Queen Elizabeth II and the late Pope john Paul II” he added.
These three designs are not really created to be commercial items. They have been produced to see what can be achieved using techniques developed by Krystali.
“We reproduced these three well known people in Swarovski rhinestones on mobile cell phones and in the same way we can reproduce anyone else onto their own cell phone” said Philip Parrott.
This is the way the mobile cell phone market is moving. Consumers are developing an increasing interest in fashion phones. Phones that are desired and purchased for their exterior looks rather than the technology they contain inside.
As phones continue to become standardised, people want to get away from the universal colour choice of black or silver and have the most important object they own styled to be as individual as they are.
