The Largest Recruitment Process in Sweden is Launched - Who Will be Hired as Miss Sweden 2006?

A new concept, with new content, is initiated by Panos Papadopoulos, CEO of swimwear designer label Panos Emporio and the owner of the Miss Sweden brand, in order to recruit a Miss Sweden for 2006. However, the swimsuit element is gone. This disputes the official rules of the Miss Universe Organization, but Panos does that in order to consider the target group. Miss Sweden aims to provide new role models and inspiration for young Swedish women.

Mölndal, Sweden, January 15, 2006 -- The position can be applied to by half a million Swedish girls in the age between 18 and 28, but only one woman can get the job. The one with the most appropriate personality. A new concept, with new content, is initiated by Panos Papadopoulos, CEO of swimwear designer label Panos Emporio and the owner of the Miss Sweden brand, in order to recruit a Miss Sweden for 2006. However, the swimsuit element is gone. This disputes the official rules of the Miss Universe Organization, but Panos does that in order to consider the target group. Miss Sweden aims to provide new role models and inspiration for young Swedish women.

The candidates will go through different steps in the recruitment process, a competence prediction and interviews with recruitment professionals. Based on personal qualities the person will be hired to act as a good ambassador for Sweden on different occasions. Panos has modernized the arrangement to adjust it to the prevailing society.

“I believe society is in need of new role models and good representatives. The new concept of Miss Sweden is the result. I saw the potential for how the project could serve Swedish interests. Miss Sweden is important for Sweden and Swedish trade. New elements are added and first of all, the candidates need to pass a mandatory competence prediction which is focused on how the person is able to manage different situations,” says Panos.

Based on the results of the tests the personalities of the candidates will be defined. Another new aspect is an ethical advisory board which is involved to be consulted by the organization in different matters and elements. A major focus is quality and results.

“We have studied how the target group communicates. The modern technology is an important communication tool and the recruitment ads will be presented in different media according to the target group, and principally on the Internet. Major parts of the arrangement will appear on the Internet and the candidates apply on www.frokensverige.se,”; says Panos finally.

The new Miss Sweden shall spread joy, inspiration and a strong belief in the future. Her major task is to represent and market Sweden unpolitically and to contribute in different commissions, e. g. trade and industry, health organizations and environmental organizations. Internationally, New Miss Sweden will play an important role, representing Sweden.
