Frustrated Valentine Finds Love (Poetry)

Share Article

Just one month before Valentine's Day, Internet poet, Allen Jesson, has released the world's first automated poetry site. With over 1,000 poems and 15,000 categorised verses, budding Bairds, Valentines and Romeos can now find odes of inspiration to create their own love poetry, just in time for Valentine's Day.

Have you ever tried to pick out the right greeting card but couldn't find the right words? Even worse, have you sat there, frustrated, trying to get your romantic feelings down on paper? Well, then you know just how tough it is to express your innermost thoughts and emotions. Thankfully, help is finally at hand.

Allen Jesson, Internet poet, has just released his entire collection of work in such a way that visitors can "cut and paste" their favourite verses to create their own Gift of Poetry. This massive body of work, over 15,000 verses, was amassed and written over a ten period. Some of the shared stories are simply heart rendering. From birth to death and beyond and every point in between, it seems Allen has written about most of the major pivotal moments in people's lives. Apart from the obvious wedding, anniversary and birthday milestones, Allen's customers have used his gift to send a variety of heartfelt messages to their loved ones.

With a clever use of technology, visitors can now use those pre-existing verses as the basis for their own creation. When they're finished they can have their 'gift' sent via e-mail or presented in a boxed, handmade card.

So, for the savvy Valentine this year, there will be no more chewing pencils or hours spent in the greeting card aisle, no, they'll be online, expressing EXACTLY what is in their hearts (with a little help from their friends).
