London, England (PRWEB) January 15, 2006 -- Jodie Marsh was the first celebrity to be unceremoniously booted out of the Big Brother house in tonight’s Channel 4’s Celebrity Big Brother live broadcast. The gutsy glamour model from Essex remained gritty and defiant to the end as she made her way down the steps towards the waiting press.

She carried on smiling as she gave the crowd the big V-sign and strode onto the podium. Later, she clearly fought to hide her inner feelings when Davina McCaul asked about her unfair treatment inside the house.
Jodie Marsh, 29 from Brentwood made it clear on Big Brother during the week that she didn’t want to be the first out, “I really don’t want to be the first to go” she said, “it’s bad enough being nominated in the first week!” However in a showdown between herself, George Galloway and Pete Burns she did indeed fall victim to the majority vote and with a 41.7 percent of the public vote, at 9:40 p.m., Jodie Marsh was declared the first evictee of the 4th Celebrity Big Brother on the Channel 4 live show at Elstree Studios.
Inside the house, Jodie kicked up a storm amongst fellow house mates with her ‘in your face’ stories of her full life style and while certain parts of her strong character were not appreciated by everyone, she proved perfectly capable of holding her own even against the likes of MP George Galloway. Anyone who manages to ruffle the feathers of a man that has had meetings with and has tried to coach the likes of Saddam Hussain is in my opinion quite a strong and determined character.
Is it the case that in some situations, people with a certain confidence and strength of character are usually the first to be shot down, (not in Saddam’s case however) since they pose a threat to the less adventurous? While only the dreary and predictable remain. Not so in the case of Big Brother, perhaps while people like Pete Burns are still in the house at least. Pete and George both live to fight another day, at least in reality TV land. It will be interesting to see however how the public profiles are rearranged once Jodie Marshe’s fellow nominees are evicted. I certainly wouldn’t want to be in George Galloway’s shoes in light of the heat that’s rising from his constituency, and I’d simply look ridiculous in Pete’s.
