Misplaced Comedy Group Places 3rd in American Idol Underground
It was recently announced that The Misplaced Comedy Group, a comedy troupe based out of Sarasota, Florida, has placed 3rd in comedy with American Idol Underground. The new division of the famed reality television show American Idol, launched its Internet site in 2005, giving independent artists a new avenue to be seen, heard and of course for people to vote for their favorite acts within different entertainment genres.
(PRWEB) January 17, 2006 -- It was recently announced that The Misplaced Comedy Group, a comedy troupe based out of Sarasota, Florida, has placed 3rd in comedy with American Idol Underground. The new division of the famed reality television show American Idol, launched its Internet site in 2005, giving independent artists a new avenue to be seen, heard and of course for people to vote for their favorite acts within different entertainment genres.
The Misplaced Comedy Group, submitted the first single “Krishna Believer,” from their 7th CD “Absurd Sensationalism,” on the whim to drive more people to their website and help generate additional CD sales. The surprise came on Monday, what they received an email from the prize committee stating that they had placed 3rd.
The young comedy troupe also recently received production awards from Podspider and various Internet Directories for their Internet Podcasts, which has been deemed one of the top downloaded comedy shows on the information highway. Misplaced Comedy’s newest and 9th CD release, “Unreal Estate,” has also been distributed for XM Radio, and will soon be made available throughout the many Online Music Stores, including: iTunes, Rhapsody, CD BABY, Napster, Sony, MSN and Tower records.
Misplaced Comedy plans to continue their wacky productions, as well as start filming for their first DVD and will start performing their “Live and Video” show in the spring of 2006.
