ModernGigabyte Announces Second Annual Hosting Workshop

Annual workshop features ModernBill product launch.

Louisville, KY (PRWEB) January 17, 2006 -- ModernGigabyte, LLC, the dominant automated billing solution for the hosting industry, today announced it’s Second Annual Hosting Workshop in Louisville, KY, which will take place March 1-3, 2006.

Mark Garrett, Support Developer at ModernGigabyte, will deliver a keynote address. Mr. Garrett will discuss “A Case Study in Web Internationalization: Using the CLDR with PHP.” Mr. Garret will present this same talk to the 29th Internationalization & Unicode Conference in Mountain View, California. He will be presenting alongside of industry notables as Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, Oracle, Apple and IBM.

The presentation will be a case study of the transformation of ModernBill from an English-centric product to an internationalized product. This presentation will include a discussion of Version 4 architecture and how it hampered internationalization and localization. It will continue with the process of assessing the different options for making the software more locale aware, and the implementation of their Version 5 product. The session will end with the generalized internationalization and localization principles we uncovered and how they might apply to other web developers.

Additionally, Jon McCarrick, VP of Sales and Marketing at ModernGigabyte, will host sessions on “Product Pricing: Driving Profit Margins” and “Beyond Automation, Value Adds for Hosting.”

“ModernGigabyte’s Hosting Workshop attendees represent ModernBill’s top system builders and we are excited to provide them with a demonstration of the features and performance that ModernGigabyte will bring to the Hosting Industry,” said Jeremy Christ, President of ModernGigabyte. “Our presentations will give the reseller community an in-depth look at the trends that are driving the industry, such as automation, security and fraud.”

Hosting Workshop attendees are invited to attend the sessions and to visit the different vendors to see a variety of products and technologies, including a developer’s roundtable on hosting automation and training on ModernBill Version 5. The Second Annual Hosting Workshop will also feature the Official Launch Party for their Version 5 Product.
