CHICAGO (PRWEB) January 19, 2006
Modern Healthcare and the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) announced today the call for nominations for the 4th annual CEO IT Achievement Award. The award recognizes one or more healthcare industry chief executive officers (CEOs) who demonstrate leadership and commitment to using information technology to advance the strategic goals of their healthcare organizations.
Open to CEOs of any healthcare organization, the award will be judged by a panel of CEOs and CIOs from healthcare provider organizations. To nominate a CEO, visit modernhealthcare.com or himss.org. The submission deadline is February 28, 2006.
“The CEO IT Achievement Award shines a light on healthcare CEOs who understand the immeasurable role IT plays in helping their organizations achieve clinical, operational and service excellence goals. It also creates excellent real-world examples for others to follow,” said Fawn Lopez, publisher of Modern Healthcare.
The nation’s leading healthcare CEOs and chief information officers (CIOs) select the winners of this prestigious award, which has recognized eight individuals since its inception in 2003. The recipient(s) will also be honored at a banquet in Washington D.C. on June 6, 2006.
“The CEOs who receive this award recognize information technology as a strategic component of quality patient care,” said H.
