Deliberate Living, a life coaching practice, is offering a new program tailored specifically for single physicians. This program recognizes that working in the stressful field of medicine causes many physicians to struggle in the dating world. The television series "The Bachelor" illustrated some of the difficulties physicians face in the season premiere. Some physicians have trouble expanding their area of focus, which is the self-proclaimed reason Bachelor Travis Stork is still single. Some lack the social skills needed to be successful in the dating world. This was one of the issues Bachelorette Allie had as, shortly after the initial introduction, she emphasized being in the reproductive stage of life to Travis and then later berated him for not being in that stage himself.
Jennifer Viemont, president of Deliberate Living, explains, “Physicians are known to be resistant to seeking help for personal problems. I believe that it is less about resistance and more due to a lack of resources. Where are they supposed to turn for help acquiring the skills needed to find a partner? Dating services alone can't be the answer when strategies for incorporating dating into an already busy life as well as skill building are needed.” Deliberate Living’s program recognized these issues and can help physicians make positive life changes and learn skills to find success in their personal lives.
Deliberate Living's physician program is goal-directed and action-oriented. Physicians are trained, consulted with and coached on key strategies and skills to be successful in the dating world. Coaching is provided over the phone, so it is convenient and has no geographical limitations.
Jennifer Viemont received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Loyola University Chicago and her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She received her life coach training at the Institute for Life Coach Training and is a member of Coachville and the International Coaching Federation. She has been quoted in the Raleigh-Durham News and Observer, a msn.com article and Women’s Health and Fitness Magazine. Jennifer can be contacted with questions at 919-329-2782.
