2006 is Already Setting Up to Fail

A solution to conquer diminished motivation.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) January 18, 2006 -- The majority of individuals consistently fail to achieve their goals, is there a solution? A couple of weeks into the New Year and all those goals and resolutions are already slipping away. Life Coach Devlyn Steele creator of http://www.lifecoachadvice.com/ says, “One of two things are happening: Either we simple didn’t even get started, or we are running out of steam.”

Not getting started is common. Even though resolutions start with great enthusiasm and excitement, the diversion of the holidays and then just trying to get back into our normal routines doesn’t allow attention to incorporate our new goals into our schedules. Simple put, “We are busy and distracted by the overall tasks of our lives.” Coach Steele assures us not to worry, “There is a solution.”

The other common element to resolution failure is burn out. It is comically predictable how the level of activity increases the first week of January? In fact January 1st and 2nd are two of the busiest days in gym attendance. Weight loss groups, dating sites, financial planners, career advisors, and support groups all report high activity the first week of January.

Even though most people do want to get in shape, lose weight, meet someone, get a better job, save money, quit smoking, quit drinking and more, how can motivation be maintained? Normal tendency is that when results don’t come as fast as our initial enthusiasm and when quick changes aren't realized motivation is lost. Devlyn Steele says, “The result is that 2006 will be yet another year most individuals fail to achieve the changes they want unless behavior is changed.”

Life Coach Devlyn Steele has a solution to develop success habits and remedy lack or diminished motivation with a technique called “ABC.”

A = Action, start taking action today. Change is not realized through thinking about it but by doing something.

B = Bite size. Reduce all new activities to small daily actions. It truly is amazing how doing something small doesn’t overwhelm us and produces results. When individuals take on too much it is either to hard tot start, or it can’t be kept up.

C = Consistency. Through the accumulation of small actions big results can be realized. Do bite size action activities daily.

Coach Steele insists, “Get into action today with small bite size activities consistently and this year can change from another failed attempt to instead producing real changes.”
