Waltham, MA, (PRWEB) January 20, 2006 -- The champion freestyle duo, Attila Szkukalek and his Border collie Fly, will perform their dazzling routines live at ClickerExpo in Newport, Rhode Island, on March 31, April 1, and April 2, 2006.

Attila and Fly are the UK freestyle champions and perform regularly at Crufts and throughout Europe. Their extraordinary performances enthrall audiences, bringing laughter and even tears, just as any good drama should. Attila’s work with Fly displays not only his creativity and training skills, but his dog’s personality and talent. After all, as Attila says, “The team presents themselves as partners, but the dog is always the star.”

Each day during lunch hour at ClickerExpo, this dazzling team will perform a different routine. You’ll have a chance to see and study their most popular routines, “Charlie Chaplin,” and “Gladiator,” plus a new performance now in training, which may in fact be Fly’s last routine, Attila has announced.

ClickerExpo is an interactive conference that brings together clicker trainers and positive reinforcement experts from around the world to share their skills and knowledge. Attendees sharpen and improve their training and teaching skills, stay on the leading edge of clicker training techniques and research, socialize with like-minded individuals, and work with the internationally respected ClickerExpo faculty, including Karen Pryor, Emma Parsons, Kay Laurence, Debi Davis, Alexandra Kurland, Ken Ramirez, Virginia Broitman, Sherri Lippman, Steve White, and many others.

Originating in the early 1990s, freestyle is sport set to music, where dog and handler work together in an interactive performance. Combining a handlers’ creativity with a dog’s enthusiasm for working as a team, enabled by the pleasure and precision of clicker training, the result gives the illusion of dance. At any level, the sport is fun for both dog and handler, strengthens a trainer’s skills, and develops new behaviors for the dog. In the hands of a few, the combination achieves real drama and thrilling theatre.
