Back Stage, publisher of print publications Back Stage East and Back Stage West, the Web site BackStage.com, and e-newsletters today announces the grand prize winner of its “Back Stage Connection Game.”
Last October, Back Stage introduced a new look and a series of editorial enhancements for its print and online product portfolio. The brand launched a new ad campaign titled “Connect,” and introduced the brand’s new tagline: “We keep actors acting.” To create further excitement around the redesign and inform actors about the changes, the brand launched the Back Stage Connection Game Web site. At game.backstage.com, game participants were informed about the many new features for readers in print and online, including access to personalized casting notices in 7 regions; the ability to submit headshots, resumes and demo reels electronically to casting agents; new blogs on film, TV, theatre, dance and cabaret; advice and resources on managing an acting career; and legal and financial advice geared to actors. To earn game entries, participants played online games and collected codes that appeared in Back Stage and other publications read by actors. The ad campaign and game concept were developed by Modern Media Partners LLC.
Cynthia-Ann Perry of Sparks, Nevada was chosen as the grand prize winner out of over 32,000 entries originating from the United States and Canada. Ms. Perry will receive a prize package valued at over $3,000: An Apple iBook® G4 laptop computer with Microsoft Office® software, an Apple Video iPod® 30GB, a scholarship to New York Film Academy's June Acting for Film Workshop in New York City and a complimentary one year subscription to the print and online editions of Back Stage.
