RecentChangesCamp will Focus on Open Technology and Open Culture at Portland Conference February 3-5

Bar camp will discuss “communities worth having” and revisions to Cybernetic Roadmap

Portland, Ore. (PRWEB) January 20, 2006 -- Portland will host the first-ever RecentChangesCamp, February 3-5 at the University Place Conference Center here.

Hosted by the Wiki community, the conference will complement Wikimania2006 and WikiSym2006. RecentChangesCamp’s agenda is open to any issue of importance to attendees, though the event will focus on Open Culture and Open Technology, two concepts for which the Portland development community is known. The organizers also are searching for a venue for a similar European event.

Questions to be addressed during the event:

  • What kinds of community to do you dream of?
  • What do you need to build them?
  • What projects would you work on if you could?
  • What skills, resources, gifts and connections do you have to share with other community builders?
  • What would happen if you could get what you need and contribute what you have?

The event is free of charge. To register, attendees can go to www.recentchangescamp.org to add their names to the event list. Lodging and meal information is available.
