Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) January 20, 2006
The Human Capital Institute (HCI), a professional association and educator in talent management strategies, announced today that it is launching a new Webcast Series called, "Unleashing the Power of Employee Referral." The four-part interactive learning series will examine the most powerful talent acquisition methodology available today: employee referral programs.
The first webcast in the series, "Three Elements of the Most Powerful Referral Programs," will be held February 2, 2006, from 12:00PM to 1:30PM EST. Jobster, a leading provider of online Talent Networks, underwrites the series.
The session will examine the best-designed employee referral programs-how they are constructed, how they encourage participation, and how they constantly strive to measure impact on the bottom line. Among the thought leader panelists scheduled to participate are senior representatives from Electronic Arts, Expedia, The MITRE Corporation, and other best practices companies, as well as industry experts and consultants.
"Employee referral programs reduce cost-per-hire and result in better, more engaged candidates," said Allan Schweyer, HCI's Executive Director. "This webcast series is aimed at helping organizations build a best-in-class employee referral program."
Studies show that employee referral remains one of the most effective methods of hiring. But not all employee referral programs are alike. Organizations that know how to tap in to 21st century tools like professional networking sites, blogs, and virtual web communities to automate the employee referral process are ahead of the competition in the war for talent.
Human Capital Institute webcasts are powered by iLinc, and are free to all HCI members and registered guests. Participants are eligible to receive re-certification credits from HRCI for each webcast. Those who complete the course by attending all four sessions will gain re-certification credits toward HCI's Human Capital Strategist designation.
