Digital Chocolate Launches Mobile I-Mode Gaming Channel with Bouygues Telecom

i-mode is an advanced mobile Internet access system widely used in Japan and selected European countries. With over 1.4 million users and an Edge network that covers 90% of the population in France, Bouygues Telecom is the largest i-mode carrier outside Japan.
The new Choco Games channel offers Bouygues Telecom's i-mode customers a range of Digital Chocolate's high-quality mobile games. At launch, game selection includes Racing Fever GT, Fantasy Warrior, FotoQuest Fishing, Bubble Ducky, Solitaire Fun Pack and Stuntman Johnny Crash.
Founded by software gaming pioneer Trip Hawkins, the founder of Electronic Arts, Digital Chocolate is focused on creating superior quality mobile games and applications with social elements. Digital Chocolate titles are acclaimed for their playability, and the company's games have received six different awards over the last two months alone. The Choco Games channel has a fixed price of 3 euros per month, with the first month offered free of charge. Initially, the channel will include six Digital Chocolate games, with one to two new titles added each month. Customers may subscribe to alerts that notify them when new titles are available, as well as participate in contests and sweepstakes. The channel also allows gamers to send recommendations of favorite games to friends.
