Headliners, Toledo’s premier concert venue, has hosted bands such as Clutch, All American Rejects, Breaking Benjamin, Chimaira, Chevelle, Taproot, Dredg, The Academy Is.., Story of The Year, MAE, GWAR, Les Claypool, Fuel, George Clinton, Hootie and The Blowfish, Jason Mraz, and many more.

Toledo, Ohio, seemingly lost between Cleveland and Detroit on the stops of tours across the U.S. with an unspoken reputation for being a test market and launching pad for unknown bands, tops the list of places to play for some of today’s newly popular bands. Topping the list of Toledo’s concert venues is Headliners (4500 N. Detroit, Ave).

In recent months Headliners, Toledo’s premier concert venue has hosted bands such as Clutch, All American Rejects, Breaking Benjamin, Chimaira, Chevelle, Taproot, Dredg, The Academy Is.., Story of The Year, MAE, GWAR (just to name a few) and hosts of local, regional and national acts.

The national acts seem to love Headliners. When 30 Seconds to Mars opened for Chevelle in July, front man Jared Leto said he fell in love with the main stage at Headliners. He stated that he felt more welcome in Toledo than he did in Detroit and other major markets. When Clutch was there in December, they had mentioned the possibility of coming back and performing on the main stage and recording a live CD.

"I attribute this respect for Headliners to the overwhelming response of the Toledo concert fans, with thier energy and excitement for the bands to feed off of,” says Verso Group Enterprises’ Jonathan Anderson.

"This is a testament to why Headliners was voted 'Best Concert Venue' 3 years in a row by the readers of Toledo’s weekly 'Toledo City Paper'”.
