Chosen Dance Company Featured in Super Bowl XL Commercial

Philadelphia-based Chosen Dance Company will offer pride to the city as they showcase their Hip Hop dance talents in two 30-second, nationally televised commercial spots for the National Football League (NFL). The commercial spot follows a line of national exposure for Chosen Dance in recent months, having been featured on MTV-U and BET’s “106 & Park” with Ciara and Nick Cannon.

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) January 23, 2006 -- In a city notorious for its devoted NFL fan base, Philadelphians can still find reason to cheer during the NFL Playoffs despite the absence of their beloved Eagles. Philadelphia-based Chosen Dance Company will offer pride to the city as they showcase their Hip Hop dance talents in two 30-second, nationally televised commercial spots for the National Football League (NFL).

The commercials highlight the championship merchandise available on NFL Shop (nflshop.com or 1.877.NFL.Shop) immediately following the AFC and NFC Championship Games and Super Bowl XL.

“The enthusiastic performers from Chosen Dance provided an energy and athleticism which enhanced the spot,” said Michele Valkov, NFL Films producer. “We looked for dancers that would best mirror the passion and enthusiasm of NFL fans and would also showcase the NFL merchandise in an exciting way.”

The creative concept was envisioned and executed by NFL Films art director Penny Ashman.

Chosen Dance founder and Philadelphian Clyde Evans found the experience “exciting”. “Hip Hop is a dynamic dance category with great appeal. Its diversity, athleticism and enthusiasm reflect the characteristics of the NFL itself.”

The commercial spot follows a line of national exposure for Chosen Dance in recent months, having been featured on MTV-U and BET’s “106 & Park” with Ciara and Nick Cannon.

The first NFL commercials will air immediately following the AFC & NFC Championship Games on Sunday January 22nd and will introduce the league’s new official AFC & NFC Championship t-shirts and hats, while the second will feature an exclusive Super Bowl Collection offered immediately following Super Bowl XL. The Super Bowl is the most-watched television show each year, with more than 130 million Americans expected to tune in, including proud Philadelphians who can claim Chosen Dance as their hometown connection to this year’s title game.
