Building Connections for the Authentication Industry – the First Authentication Connections Forum Opens in Tampa on March 30th

The first Authentication Connections Forum (ACF) takes place in Tampa, FL, USA on March 30th to 31st 2006. The Authentication Connections Forum will form the basis for establishing connections and bringing together the key stakeholders involved in the fight against counterfeiting and piracy.

London, UK (PRWEB) January 25, 2006 -- The programme for the first Authentication Connections Forum (ACF), which takes place from March 30-31 2006 in Tampa, Florida, has been announced. ACF is a new convention where authentication suppliers will be able to examine and discuss the issues that are important to them collectively, away from the pressures of sales and marketing, which dominate most conferences and meetings in this field.

The conference is supported by the CACP (Coalition against Counterfeiting and Piracy); a coalition formed by the US Chamber of Commerce to fight the growing threat of counterfeiting and piracy on the US economy, the global business community, and consumers. ACF is also supported by NASPO (North American Security Products Organisation). NASPO is a non-profit member-supported organization that certifies that providers of security materials and technology operate under a set of operational standards and security protocols. Security solutions provider Authentix, whose CEO is co-chair of the CACP's Technology Task Force along with Ed Dietrich of Reconnaissance, is also an event sponsor.

Connections has been chosen as the dominant theme of the event because authentication suppliers cannot work in isolation – they have to make connections not just with customers, but also with law enforcement agencies, industry groups and each other.

The key to success in the fight against counterfeiting and piracy is the quality of connections that are developed and built between governments and brand owners, customs and enforcement agencies, packaging intermediaries and authentication suppliers.

A low-price table-top exhibition will be an integral part of the Authentication Connections Forum, where companies with technologies to share or partnering prospects will show delegates what they have to offer. Brand Secure Solutions, Schreiner ProSecure, Amagic, Hologram Industries and ARmark Authentication Technologies are early exhibitors. To join them and to be a part of this development opportunity please contact Reconnaissance International for details.

Reconnaissance is a leading provider of business intelligence for the document protection and brand authentication sectors and publisher of the specialised industry newsletters Holography News and Authentication News. It also organizes authentication and anticounterfeiting conferences for specific market sectors and publishes reference books, industry reports and studies on authentication markets and technologies.
