Chicago, Illinois (PRWEB) January 25, 2006 – PriSim Business War Games Inc., a premier business simulation and training firm, announced that the company has upgraded the navigational user-interface of its business-training software package for the mortgage banking industry, titled Cycloan™. Cycloan is a business simulation designed specifically for the mortgage banking industry to develop mid to senior-management’s strategic, financial, and general business acumen. The software models the operations of a working, growing loan center and allows course attendees to run their simulated company as “CEO for the Day”.

The upgrades to the launch-screen of the Cycloan business simulation allow participants to quickly navigate to all the elements of the simulated company’s operations from one central location. The upgraded launch-screen, also known as the banner-screen, is a graphic representation of the chain of business functions within the simulated company. The format follows the “value chain” concept originated by Michael Porter, the iconic strategy professor at Harvard University.

“With these updates to our already successful mortgage branch simulation,” said David Semb, a Partner at the company, “we’re continuing to make our products more and more user-friendly. That’s critical because the focus of the course has got to be on the content, on the business decision-making, and not on navigating the software itself. The easier it is to get around within the simulated company, the more intuitive the interface, then the more knowledge and insight can come out of the experience.”

Semb also noted, “The January issue of Chief Learning Officer magazine talks about instructor-led training, and specifically leadership training, as having the biggest impact on company’s training results in 2006. I completely agree. We’re seeing some of our clients replace their free-standing CBT-style programs with instructor-led business simulations. By using a business simulation that is part of an instructor-led course, you get the best of both worlds: the real-time, complex business results that the computer simulation gives you, plus the ability to ask the instructor or participants for more detail about a specific business concept, live at the very moment you have that question. We’re gearing up to meet the increased demand that this trend will bring, and we’re planning to make a lot of other exciting changes to PriSim’s simulations in the coming year.”

PriSim Business War Games’ Cycloan™ software provides managers in the mortgage banking industry a practice-ground where new ideas can be tested and where strategies can be practiced in a “what if” environment. With the recent upgrades to Cycloan™, PriSim has further expanded its presence in the mortgage banking industry as it continues to deliver unique, computer-simulation based business training solutions to leading organizations worldwide.
