Will this online dating service “match up” the perfect couple?

“With Valentine’s Day approaching, the subject of relationships will be on everyone’s mind,” said Laura Betterly, one of the three hosts of Scooop Radio. “We also want to see how effective this particular online dating service is. We will announce the results of the contest, and how the couple did with the dating service during the week leading up to Valentine’s Day.” Scooop Radio will announce the winner of the contest in the first week of February, and then pay for the enrollment with the yet to be announced dating service.

“I am the pessimist in the group,” cautioned Bruce Prokopets, a co-host of Scooop Radio. “I tested the online dating service myself, and they couldn’t match me up with anyone. I also want to see if the perfect couple breaks up if they meet someone better. The grass is always greener.”

Scooop Radio is affiliated with Scooop.net, a next-generation media site known for citizen journalism and active participation of its members. Scooop.net is running the “Perfect Couple” contest using their “Hot Topics” polling section on their site (http://www.scooop.net). The Hot Topic polling system will be used to narrow down the contest winners, and then a selection committee will pick the winning couple.

“I was reading the questions on the air and started asking Bruce the questions,” said Betterly. “We actually got Bruce into trouble when he was answering the questions. He received an unexpected text message from his girlfriend who was listening to the show. I guess he was being a little too honest.”

Scooop Radio will be interviewing relationship experts over the next two weeks to evaluate the results of the ongoing poll.
