New York, NY (PRWEB) January 25, 2006
Shared Services IQ and IQPC present the leading shared services event in the US, Shared Services Week 2006, which will take place March 28-29 2006 at the Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club in Orlando, Florida.
Shared Services Week is the annual flagship event for The Shared Services and Outsourcing Network. The week will give attendees an unprecedented opportunity to gain cutting edge knowledge and best practice in this dynamic field. For the past five years, Shared Services Week has been the integral industry event for several hundred of the world’s foremost shared services executives as they journeyed through their growths and changes from strategy to success. To further enhance each attendee’s learning route, the Shared Services Week has been streamlined to ensure that what is discussed at the event can be taken back to each shared services organization and strategically implemented.
Shared Services Week offers attendees the opportunity to learn from practitioners of both new and mature Shared Services Organizations and hear their experiences in running their organizations. The week includes tailored sessions designed for the differing needs of new and mature shared services organizations. The key areas covered within the concurrent tracks will cover every aspect of Shared Services Functions:
- Offshoring & Outsourcing
- Change Management
- Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Service Level Management, Partner Satisfaction & Optimization
- Process Automation & Technology
- Cost Management
Jack Welch, author of Winning, will hold a book signing during the first day of the main conference sessions, followed by a question and answer session in which he will detail first hand his winning strategies. The conference will present a dynamic forum for the exchange of ideas and formation of new business partnerships for all those involved in the creation and development of Shared Services Organizations. The chance to gain a hands on learning experience is presented in all of the 24 workshops/study tours that will drill down to the specifics of how-to’s.
Winners of the 2006 Shared Services Excellence Awards, the only award ceremony of its type, will be announced at the Awards Dinner and Ceremony, which takes place on Tuesday March 28 2006. The Excellence Awards have been established to recognize, honor and promote Shared Services Organizations that have demonstrated true best practices. The 2006 Shared Services leaders will detail their winning solutions during an interactive winner’s panel session on the morning of Wednesday March 29. Following their win of the 2005 Shared Services Leader of the Year award Commonwealth of Massachusetts noticed increased internal support:
“Because of this important award, the work we are doing in Shared Services received tremendous visibility in the Commonwealth and our efforts to continue to expand the model and receive the funding support from the Legislature were made a lot easier and more successful” Said Ruth Bramson, Chief Human Resources Officer, Commonwealth of Massachusetts “But this is a work in progress and we are continually improving as we take on each new challenge. The Shared Services Network provides us with a tremendous resource of colleagues and companies who are dealing with the same counter-cultural reform efforts we are. We test our ideas and share best practices. Our participation has proved to be a great investment.”
