Valaran Wins Department of Defense Contract for Semantic Service Oriented Architecture

Valaran Corporation, in conjunction with their partner, Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC), have been awarded a project to deliver a highly distributed application for an agency within the United States Department of Defense.

Valaran Corporation, in conjunction with their partner, Concurrent Technologies Corporation (CTC), have been awarded a project to deliver a highly distributed application for an agency within the United States Department of Defense. Valaran will provide both consulting services and the software platform being used for the project. The first phase of the project is expected to be complete in 2006, in the delivery of a semantically powered service oriented architecture to facilitate sharing of inter-agency capabilities. Subsequent project phases are expected to follow.

“The SSOA project is both inventive and distinct, because of the way it’s solving a key DOD challenge through the assembly of commercial-off-the-shelf products to create a state-of-the-art Semantic Service-Oriented architecture,” said Michael Seebold, CTC Program Manager for the SSOA. “The experience and expertise brought into the project by the Valaran team, along with their feature-rich platform, made Valaran an intuitive choice for the SSOA project.”
