trueCycle, Inc, Achieves International ISO Certification

Todd Hill, founder and CEO of trueCycle, Inc., a California Authorized e-waste recycler, announced this week that trueCycle has been awarded the coveted ISO 9001:2000 and 14001:2004 Certifications.

Pasadena, Calif. (PRWEB) January 30, 2006 -- Todd Hill, founder and CEO of trueCycle, Inc., a California Authorized e-waste recycler, announced this week that trueCycle has been awarded the coveted ISO 9001:2000 and 14001:2004 Certifications.

ISO 9001:2000 refers to international certification defined by quality management standards in business and customer relations. ISO 14001:2004 is the international standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS) achieved by organizations adopting comprehensive programs to meet the environmental challenges associated with handling hazardous materials. Together the ISO 9001:2000 and 14001:2004 standards address important business and societal issues such as social responsibility, sustainability, conformity assessment, services standards, and customer satisfaction.

trueCycle, an industry leader in environmentally responsible e-waste management, was a founding signatory of the landmark "Electronic Recycler’s Pledge of True Stewardship,” the world’s most rigorous environmental and social criteria for the dismantling and recycling of electronic wastes.

“Electronics waste must be recognized as a special category, not simply because of the environmental impact of improper disposal, but also because e-waste poses greater opportunity for unauthorized access to personal or corporate information that may remain on hard drives and other electronics storage media,” said CEO Hill, “exposing corporations to risks associated with failure to comply to a slew of privacy compliance laws, while their customers are exposed to the risks associated with identity theft.” In recognizing COO Larry Powers and staff for their hard work and dedication to program implementation, Hill noted, “The adoption of rigorous ISO standards allows trueCycle to better protect the environment and our customers.”

“The disposal of electronic equipment is the fastest growing waste problem globally. At trueCycle we meet this challenge from the ground up, encouraging community involvement and awareness by sponsoring local collection events and working with government agencies and corporations to reduce the environmental impact of electronic consumption.” Todd Hill, a technology expert who sits on numerous National Councils for the EPA, spearheads initiatives such as Take Back & Recycle, which encourage corporate responsibility. He is an engaging and sought after speaker addressing health and environmental issues on TV, radio, and at technical, professional, and consumer events.

trueCycle maintains corporate offices in Pasadena, California and operations facilities in Placerville and Victorville providing asset management services, electronics waste materials reclamation, environmentally responsible recycling, volume reduction processing, due diligence environmental certification, and equipment tracking services.

Todd Hill is available for interviews.
