Now there's a free podcast creation and hosting solution that allows practically anyone to record podcasts and publish them in a few simple clicks and earn revenue. There's no need to find and pay for a 3rd party host, and no confusion of creating RSS feeds. Podcasters can Drag n Drop songs from PodcastSPOTS site to an episode and a free site is created which will automatically contain a music store featuring the songs they played. Podcasters earn commissions from song sales and ad revenue.

Previously, someone just getting into podcasting, would reach a hurdle when it came time to publish an episode. For instance, at the Engadget tutorial on ""How to Podcast", a common question posted to their comments section reads something like this, "I see how to record, and I get all the way down to where it says 'Now publish your episode' - but, how do I do that?"

With the wizard, you simply click the Publish button after you record an episode, and a professional looking website is automatically created for you. Now the world can subscribe to your show!" said Mark Kanter, co-founder of PodcastSPOTS. "It doesn't get any easier than this!"

PodcastSPOTS Wizard 2.0 is a patent-pending system built on top of Microsoft's .NET technologies. With the PodcastSPOTS Wizard, podcasters can now create unlimited sized podcasts with unlimited bandwidth. And there is no need for performance worries, as Podcast wizard 2.0 was built with scalability in mind.

Typical Podcast hosts use a central file server system for hosting thousands of podcasts, yet such a setup lends to getting bogged down when 100s of thousands of podcast receiver applications tune in at once for the latest episodes.

With the wizard however, each individual podcaster's machine provides their latest episode for initial downloading. Thus a download request of their episode does not have to compete with requests for other podcasters' episodes, since those requests are made to other podcasters' machines.

To boost performance and eliminate bandwidth concerns, the Wizard integrates with the CoralCDN Network, With Coral, the first daily request to an episode is cached on a worldwide network of servers. Subsequent requests, made within 24 hours of the 1st request, can be served from the closest server on the network to the request.

The wizard comes with loads of royalty-free sound effects to choose from. Easily add a boing, a lazer cannon or an applause in the background, while you talk. There's also easy access to a growing database of Songs from independent artists. Seamlessly drag and drop a song from the Podsafe Music Vault Charts, right into your episode. Then, introduce it by clicking the Record button. You even get your own Music Store when you add songs to your episodes. Your site will automatically list the songs you added to your episode for listeners to easily buy -- and you earn a commission when they do.

If you want to earn Advertising Revenue, simply drag and drop a sponsor into your episode. Just click the Sponsors Button for a list of sponsors to choose from. PodcastSPOTS will then give you a share of all advertising revenue generated.

The wizard integrates with existing sites too! If you have a site you already publish to, simply set up the ftp and http settings in the wizard, one time, and your episodes will be published there automatically.

If you've got a Mac, this won't work for you. In that case, you could probably use GarageBand 3 and get a .Mac account (for about a $100 a year) to do your Podcast Recording and Publishing. But for those with a Microsoft Based Operating System, such as XP, this Free Wizard will have you podcasting in minutes!

OEMs interested in integrating the PodcastSPOTS Wizard software into new PC offerings, can send an email to contact at podcastSPOTS.com with subject line 'OEM Wizard'.
