Mark Glickman Re-elected as President of Leading Hospitality Organization

The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International – Chapter of the Virginias (HSMAI-VAs), an organization of sales and marketing professionals representing all segments of the hospitality industry, announced today the election of new officers and directors for 2006. Mark Glickman, President of The Glickman Group, Inc., an international marketing and public relations agency based in Charlottesville, Virginia, was re-elected as President.

Richmond, VA (PRWEB) February 1, 2006 -- The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International – Chapter of the Virginias (HSMAI-VAs), an organization of sales and marketing professionals representing all segments of the hospitality industry, announced today the election of new officers and directors for 2006. Mark Glickman, President of The Glickman Group, Inc., an international marketing and public relations agency based in Charlottesville, Virginia, was re-elected as President.Serving as Vice President is Gary W. Brown, CHME, Vice President Hotel Sales, Colonial Williamsburg Company; Secretary/Treasurer is Robert Hayes, Director of National Accounts, Marriott and Renaissance Caribbean and Mexico Resorts; Immediate Past President is Andrew Mann, Convention Coordinator, Visual Aids Electronics; Rick Eisenman, CAE, of Eisenman and Associates, Inc., continues as Executive Vice President.

Four individuals were elected to the Board for a two-year-term: Paul Brown, Director of Sales, The Tides Inn; Dennis Flannery, Director, Regional Sales, The Homestead; Cathy Grieve, Director of Sales, Norfolk Waterside Marriott; and Susan Horton, Sales Manager, Virginia Business Magazine. Greg Poirier, General Manager, The Institute and Conference Center, was appointed to fill an unexpired term for one year.

Directors continuing to serve terms are Howard Feiertag, Professor, Virginia Tech; Tim Norman, General Manager, Oglebay Resort and Conference Center, and Nancy Tuckwiller, Assistant Director of Sales, The Greenbrier.

With a strong focus on education, HSMAI has become the industry champion in identifying and communicating trends in the hospitality industry, and bringing together customers and members at its events throughout the year. The 2006 HSMAI – Chapter of the Virginias’ Marketing Summit & Idea Exchange (formerly the Annual Conference) will be held on March 23-26, 2006 at The Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia.
