Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Selects Vodium to Deliver Identity Theft Multimedia Training
Interactive Flash® based MediaPod presentation educates consumers on how to protect themselves from identity thieves.
Washington, DC (PRWEB) February 1, 2006 -– The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) today released an on-line multimedia education tool developed by Vodium that consumers can use to learn how to better protect their computers and themselves from identity thieves. The presentation also features actions consumers can take if their personal information has been compromised. Identity theft continues to be one of the fastest growing crimes in the United States, and has ranked as one of the top consumer concerns for the past several years. Identity theft is evolving in more complicated ways that make it harder for consumers to protect themselves, and easier for criminals to set up virtual storefronts on the Internet to sell confidential personal information.
FDIC selected Vodium based on its past performance of developing compelling viewer experiences and multimedia events. For the “Don't Be an On-line Victim: How to Guard Against Internet Thieves and Electronic Scams,” FDIC wanted a rich medium to educate a broad audience on what is a topic of great interest in today’s electronic world. “Vodium’s state-of-the-art Flash-based MediaPod® is the perfect communications platform for FDIC’s needs due to its interactivity and engaging user experience. We Look forward to developing more of these kinds of projects for FDIC and other government agencies that require this type of outreach,” said Cameron Clarke, founder and CEO of Vodium.
The presentation can be found on the FDIC's website at: http://www.fdic.gov/consumers/consumer/guard/index.html
Financial institutions and others are encouraged to make the link available to their customers from their websites.
About FDIC
