Dorsetforyou.com: National Recognition for GOSS Client
GOSS' client Dorsetforyou.com has received National recognition winning the award for Joined-Up Services at the e-Government National Awards held at the Savoy Hotel, London on 25th January. The Awards showcase 95 finalists - UK councils - and rewards them for their successes within this field.
(PRWEB) February 1, 2006 -- Dorsetforyou.com became the UK's first single online Local Authority portal to provide joined-up services for citizens across five local authorities in April 2005.
Plymouth based GOSS provided their market leading intelligent Content Management (iCM) software to the Dorset Partnership enabling a citizen-centric portal providing the citizens of five local authorities within Dorset a ‘one stop shop’ for information and services. This partnership enables information to be effectively disseminated across the partnership area and the GOSS software makes available a robust, feature rich, and secure portal platform.
GOSS would therefore like to congratulate Dorset County Council and its partners, West Dorset District Council, East Dorset District Council, Christchurch Borough Council and North Dorset District Council for their achievement in winning this prestigious award. The Award is well deserved as the Dorsetforyou project is seen as a benchmark for best practice in e-Government.

The success of GOSS client, Dorsetforyou.com, follows hard on the heels of the company winning their first European contract to supply its market leading web content management software, iCM, to the Romanian Economic and Social Council.
