These inspiring and empowering events include: Day of the Writer, Day of the Producer, Day of the Cinematographer, Day of Post and Day of Distribution. Each forum will present experts in their field to inspire, educate and fascinate both filmmakers and film fans. Cinequest has partnered in this venture with companies such as Canon, Comerica, Dolby® (NYSE: DLB), Intel (Nasdaq: INTC), Kontiki, Palm® (Nasdaq: PALM), and Panasonic, to name but a few.

The Day of series combines workshops, presentations and brainstorming sessions which will allow the filmmaker to tap into the expertise needed to utilize new technologies. These are empowering days of discovery as well as exhibition. For example, one presentation will include a live brainstorming workshop between an established Hollywood producer and experts from Palm® to solve problems of taking product from the large screen to a mobile platform. Others will demonstrate how new technologies effect a variety of areas in the movie-making process and how smart filmmakers are utilizing the latest tools.
