Alsbridge, the Global Outsourcing, Shared Services and Offshoring Advisory Firm, Discusses How the “Outsourcing Process is Broken”

The outsourcing supplier think-tank, which Alsbridge hosted in January 2006, revealed that the current process used to buy and sell outsourced services relies too heavily on a prescriptive and arms length process designed to reduce price to unworkable levels that are toxic to long term successful relationships. While price is always an important consideration, there is clearly a need to take other factors into consideration to have a chance for executing a sustainable deal. No other industry would accept even the most optimistic satisfaction percentages that are found in public outsourcing industry reports.

Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) February 1, 2006 -- The outsourcing supplier think-tank, which Alsbridge hosted in January 2006, revealed that the current process used to buy and sell outsourced services relies too heavily on a prescriptive and arms length process designed to reduce price to unworkable levels that are toxic to long term successful relationships. While price is always an important consideration, there is clearly a need to take other factors into consideration to have a chance for executing a sustainable deal. No other industry would accept even the most optimistic satisfaction percentages that are found in public outsourcing industry reports.

As a part of helping the outsourcing industry re-think the approach to how clients buy and providers sell outsourced services, a new sourcing process framework has been developed called Sourcing Alignment System™ (SAS) to promote a truly collaborative experience for both client and provider.

SAS follows the Alsbridge Charter in order to promote joint working relationships between client, suppliers and advisors based on partnership and trust. Consolidating the operational principles that hinge the Alsbridge approach to supplier selection and deal negotiation, it comprises 5 basis tenants that each party involved is encouraged to adhere to.

Alsbridge Managing Partner, Ben Trowbridge, states: “SAS represents a real sea change in approach to the process that reduces the time to achieve a meaningful solution and contract by 20% or more. More importantly we believe SAS will improve the overall quality of the solution. We expect it to be welcomed by both clients and suppliers alike.
