Catering to the Traditional Chinese Martial Artist and Proprietor Southern Kung Fu Net provides a respectable venue for Instructors and students alike to exchange and participate in discussions related to all styles of Traditional Chinese Martial Arts. The forum also offers a specific closed arena for Proprietors to exchange freely.

Southern Kung Fu Net Community Forum catering to Traditional Chinese Marital Artists and School Proprietors around the globe, went live on Tuesday January 24, 2006. Unlike contemporary forums currently on the web, Southern Kung Fu Net will not only provide a venue for discussion but intends to serve as a resource to business owners in the Chinese Martial Arts Community.

Providing resources for proprietors of Kung Fu Schools around the globe is one of the main features the forum administrator intends to focus on. Graciously, in order to make this happen, Sifu (Cantonese for Instructor) Michael Parrella of New York’s Master Parrella’s Kung Fu Centers, has volunteered his services and joins the forum team as its resident business expert.

Sifu Michael Parrella has been training in the martial arts for over 25 years and was a top disciple of the late Grandmaster Chan Tai-San of Choy Lay Fut and Lama Pai fame. He has experience in a range of styles from Hung Kuen, Monkey Style, Bok Mei and Northern Shaolin. He has been a Martial Arts school owner for the last 15 years and currently owns two schools in Long Island and Queens. He has also worked as a consultant to other martial arts schools owners in America, England, Australia, Hong Kong and China. His schools are in the top 1% of the highest income grossing schools in the world. He will be available for PM's and will be the moderator of the Kung Fu Proprietors (Owners/Instructors) Forum.

Parrella states that, “This forum will be different from all the others currently on the internet. The moderators and the administrator are focused on limiting the discussions to the topics at hand, and filtering out the petty arguments, name-calling and threats (often seen on, and ruining other forums). In this way, students and instructors alike will be able to network across the globe to further these unique arts. This concept alone will make this forum a true golden resource for the Chinese Martial Artist.”

The forum administrator Damien Caldwell states, “Southern Kung Fu Net will also provide proprietors with an invaluable resource for business operations. Under the guidance of Sifu Parrella it will cover topics from Scheduling and Curriculum, Enrollment and Finance to Vendors and Suppliers. It offers a venue for owners to discuss their ideas with other members in a secure environment as the Proprietor’s Forum Section is open only to School owners and Instructors.”

The rest of the forum is open to everyone and ensures a family friendly environment for the serious Chinese Martial Artist. The members include a number of respected and established Chinese Martial Artists from the United States, United Kingdom and all the way to Hong Kong. Styles ranging from Choy Lay Fut, Hung Ga and Lung Ying to Southern Mantis, Tai Chi and Lama Pai, offering a well rounded and truly enriched forum from which members state how much they have benefited from their participation. With an anticipated 1500 members by the end of February Southern Kung Fu Net looks to enrich the studies of a great many practitioners.
