LiveTime Adds IT Asset Discovery to its Java-Based Customer Service and Support Solutions

LiveTime Software, a leading provider of Java-based Customer Service and Support software, today announced the availability of LiveTime Discovery. LiveTime Discovery is a next-generation network inventory tool that dynamically discovers all software and hardware infrastructure items available across the network.

LiveTime Discovery will enable organizations to track systems information and assets across the enterprise to control software spending. It will also ensure compliance with software license agreements and government regulations, such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

LiveTime Discovery will scan, locate, synchronize and report on the full range of IT devices—desktops, laptops, servers, routers, switches and hubs, including the software running on them. Asset information can be securely accessed throughout the organization via the LiveTime Configuration Management Database (CMDB), an integral part of the LiveTime suite.

Products that offer inventory, usage and software distribution enable customers to monitor usage trends that can track the use of unauthorized applications and more accurately use software distribution to develop, set and enforce corporate standards.
