Mokena, IL (PRWEB) February 1, 2006 -- EVTV1 announced its latest content licensing deal with DC based National Geographic Digital Media. This is another in a long line of licensing deals which adds steam to EVTV1’s strategy to build a foundation of exclusive streamed video content that appeals to all interests. CEO Jaffer Ali stated,

“When it comes to footage of science, nature and exploration, one name stands out above the rest and that is National Geographic. Our EVTV1 video portal is rather unique because we have a programming philosophy to offer something for everyone. Licensing quality video content is the only way to build niche audiences and hold onto them. Our licensing agreement with National Geographic Digital Media is an example of our commitment to quality content.”

The National Geographic deal comes on the heels of several content licensing announcements for the video portal. EVTV1 has over 200,000 hours of content under license and is adding hundreds of streamed video clips per week to its site. What makes EVTV1 different is that nearly 75% of all the content available is exclusive and can only be seen on EVTV1 or through its syndication program called Vidsense™.

EVTV1’s VP of Content Distribution, Tom Zegar said,

“We know that the future of all content is in digital distribution. Whether through podcasts, mobile phones or the desktop, the name of the game is distribution. To expand our reach we have created a program called Vidsense™. Vidsense™ allows third-party websites to stream our exclusive content to their visitors for free—there’s even a small revenue share in it for them from our video ad sales. 297 websites have signed up for the program so far and more sign on every day. Savvy websites want to offer their visitors content that will keep them coming back. We’ve got that, and a revenue share to boot.”

Advertising impressions are building fast as the EVTV1 portal gains visitors and Vidsense™ gains syndicated websites. The new content licensed from National Geographic will fuel video views on both platforms

The content provided by National Geographic Digital Media will appear on EVTV1’s Science and Nature channels. EVTV1 is responsible for selling the advertising in front of all the video content.
