Despite being a relative newcomer, Bury based Cudis, the UK distributors for CPN domestic electrical products including circuit breakers, consumer units and sockets has made a major impact in the industry. Recognising this Hamerville, publishers of the industry's biggest journal, Professional Electrician and Installer, have awarded them the 2005 Top Product award for circuit protection.

The award recognises that CPN has received the highest level of reader response throughout the UK for circuit protection devices. Research suggests that electricians find the innovative mix of high quality, good design, ease of installation and competitive pricing an attractive combination when selecting equipment for electrical safety.

"The Cudis business formula is simple," asserts business manager Qinglin Li. "We carefully research market needs, to find areas where we can offer electrical contractors better design and improved value. Products are then prototyped and tested in our ISO 9000 certified labs in the UK. We then work with carefully selected ISO 9000 manufacturers in China, with close supervision to apply our on-site quality assurance systems to ensure consistent quality."

Cudis and CPN are in good company. Other 'Oscar' winners include electrical industry giants ABB and Moeller Electric. "Month on month sales volumes are rising as we win new converts and current users come back with repeat orders," commented CPN product manager David Tierney. Cudis has an active development programme with other new products due for launch in 2006.
