Peekskill, New York—Chatsby Films the multi award winning production company based in Westchester NY, experienced tremendous growth and success in 2005, exceeding the optimistic projections of its managing partners, Adam Matalon and Kevin Burke. The company is pleased to announce that it has bolstered its ranks adding two new senior managers to better serve its clients.

Effective February 2006, Jennifer Colandrea Yeaple will join Chatsby Films as the firm’s Vice President of Business Development. She will be responsible for building and managing the company’s already impressive client list, which includes Sesame Workshop, Historic Hudson Valley, Credit Suisse First Boston, and Guide Communications.

Ms. Yeaple was the executive director of the Elisa Monte Dance Company for six years. During her tenure, Jennifer was charged with the production of all special events, foreign and domestic tours, marketing and public relations, and was the producer of the annual New York City Season at the Joyce Theater. Prior to that she worked with the Martha Graham Dance Company and School of American Ballet as their Development Officer.

In early 2005, Jennifer became the Director of Special Events at the Foundation of the Hudson Valley Hospital Center, where she assumed full leadership and production of all special events, and successfully raised record profits at both the Annual Golf Outing and Auxiliary Ball. In addition to Jennifer’s work in the arts and fundraising, she also worked as a planner for corporate road show events and marketing in the Financial Products Division at CIBC World Markets, and as an event coordinator at Morgan Stanley in New York.

Also new to the Chatsby Films team is producer Esther Raphael, who will oversee production of the company’s various projects. A successful radio and television producer from England, Ms. Raphael will also assist the company’s film production ventures in France and Europe with Chatsby Films’ Paris managing partner and producer, Sarah Matalon. She crosses the pond to work in the company’s New York offices in mid-February.

The company produced its first completely independent film this past summer. Sex & Camping, a romantic comedy, was a successful collaboration between Burke and Matalon, who co-wrote and produced the film together. Matalon took the helm as director, with Burke serving as director of photography—familiar roles for the partners on past Chatsby projects.

“We went into the summer feeling it was time to do something for ourselves,” said Matalon. The company had just completed post-production on All Star Alphabet, a home video being distributed by Sesame Workshop and Sony Wonder, starring Stephen Colbert (The Daily Show), and Nicole Sullivan (Mad TV, Hot Properties), a large project which took several months to develop and produce.

“We have everything we need to make a good film at our fingertips—our own equipment, the loyal crew, the facilities…so everything came together—and quickly,” added Burke. In just six weeks, Matalon and Burke wrote the script, lined up the crew, found their cast, and had the 38-minute short in the can.

The film is headed for festivals, and will hopefully enjoy a premiere screening in May at the Paramount Center for the Arts.

“That’s one of our next projects,” said Matalon. Chatsby Films is working closely with the Paramount Theatre’s executive director, Jon Yanofsky, to produce an evening of short films at the historic venue, located in Peekskill. Sex & Camping would be the program’s feature presentation.

Next up is another collaboration, this time a feature film My Sister Bites.
