In January 2005, Network-i extended its IP Video Conferencing Network into Ireland and made its industry-leading always-on video meeting service available to companies in the Irish Republic. Flat rate video conferencing from Ireland to the USA and Europe until that time was unheard of. Ireland was the fifth European country to be connected to the Network-i ‘In-Vision’ international video network.
In May 2005, the company launched its ISDN gateway service bringing about better and more cost effective service to the marketplace. Customers can make use of the international ISDN gateway service at an all-inclusive monthly fixed charge
In November 2005, Network-i partnered with VideoCentric to expand the use of IP connectivity throughout their customers’ locations. As part of the agreement, Video Centric bundle Network-i services into its client solutions.
In December 2005, Network-i launched “IPVision”, an Internet Gateway facility that had been in field trials since May 2005. IP Vision creates a virtual private video network that allows customers to enjoy the benefits of a public-facing IP Videoconferencing facility without having to attach directly to the Internet and potentially compromise the security of their network.
As an IP Vision Gold Partner, VideoCentric offers its customers unlimited IP video calls for a fixed monthly fee. IP vision will also support ISDN calls at less than half the cost of traditional rates.
