Susan A. Montelius served in the United States Navy for ten years. She learned much from traveling the world. In so doing, she obtained a greater appreciation for the United States and its blessings.

Susan is a person whose emotions run deep regardless of the emotion. Generally writes from the heart but has been inspired in the past by things less emotional. Lives in Marrero, Louisiana at present but hopes to reside among the mountains of North Carolina one day making a living as a writer.

Very family oriented. Tends to write more heartfelt poems about loss these days since the passing of her mother in 2002. Has found great enjoyment and therapeutic gain in writing. Hopes that others will also find enjoyment in her writings. Poetry is for everyone...it touches the heart of some and the minds of others....and when it does, the world is richer.
