Eyal Ardity, CPA Honored as Finalist for 2005 Excellence in Accounting Award

Goldstein Lewin & Co. Senior Audit Manager, experienced in Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Requirements, was recognized at the South Florida Business Journal 2005 Excellence in Accounting Awards breakfast.

Boca Raton, FL (PRWEB) February 6, 2006 -- Eyal Ardity, CPA, Senior Audit Manager at Goldstein Lewin & Co. was recognized at the South Florida Business Journal 2005 Excellence in Accounting Awards breakfast for his distinctive work in the area of SEC/Audit services. The Excellence in Accounting Awards is an annual event honoring CPAs who have exceptional skills and experience in various practice areas.

“The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 has changed the landscape of audit services. Although adherence to this legislation is mandated only for public companies, certain provisions, such as the development, testing, monitoring and evaluation of internal financial controls are also crucial to private and not-for-profit entities,” states Mr. Ardity. “When entities commit to the implementation of these controls and allocate sufficient resources, they can reduce the risk of employee fraud.”

In his role as Senior Audit Manager at Goldstein Lewin & Co., Mr. Ardity manages a broad range of audit services to public and private companies. He has over 10 years of experience in providing external audits and business advisory and consulting services, including Sarbanes–Oxley Section 404 internal controls engagements, to large and mid-sized companies. He has also assisted companies with initial public offerings and private placements. He recently conducted a seminar on employee fraud and internal controls and authored an article on this subject.

“Eyal’s expertise in internal financial controls is an asset to our clients, and his leadership skills make him a valuable member of our Audit Department,” explains Donald Goldstein, CPA, Goldstein Lewin’s Co-Managing Partner.

Licensed as a CPA in Florida and certified in Illinois, Mr. Ardity earned both Bachelor of Accounting and Master of Accounting degrees magna cum laude from Florida International University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Goldstein Lewin is listed in Florida Trend as one of the 25 largest accounting firms in the state of Florida. It offers a comprehensive range of accounting and business consulting services including corporate governance issues, cost segregation studies, eldercare management, accounting and auditing including SEC compliance; tax services; technology consulting; wealth preservation and estate planning; business valuation; financial planning, employee benefits programs and litigation consulting. The firm has been designated one of the Best Places to Work in South Florida.
