Wisdom an Overriding Theme at Black History Month Programs
Grandmother, daughter, and granddaughter set the popular wisdom trend by offering wise words from their best selling collection
(PRWEB) February 5, 2006 -- Inspirational is a word, which comes to mind when you think of the grandmother, daughter, and granddaughter team of Celia Ford, Theresa Allen, and Pamela Simonson. 75, 50, and 25 years old when they wrote their best selling, Pearls of Wisdom From Three Generations (Thelemaque Publishing), a collection of family sayings, famous quotes, and prayers, the trio have been motivating audiences with a variety of uplifting themes. They will offer words of wisdom when they appear at the Kiwanis Key Club’s Annual Black History Month Program, Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, at the Largo High School, 505 Largo Rd, Upper Marlboro, MD 20774. at 10:00am. The columnists, authors, and speakers are often called upon because of their multi-generational appeal.
“We have spoken to girls as young as three years old and to women mature and seasoned in life”, stated Ford. As the matriarch and elder of the popular trio, Ford has served as Registered Nurse, School Nurse, and Teacher.
“My life has allowed me to see many things. I thank God for the opportunity to be able to share the wisdom I have been blessed with,” she continued. The trio also pens a weekly advice called, Ask Pearls of Wisdom. They answer questions with wisdom from three different perspectives.
Ford, Allen, and Simonson’s presentation will include motivational words of words, along with a focus towards the African American community. Sponsored by the Mitchellville Kiwanis, the brunch costs $25.00 and tickets are available to the public of all ages.
