Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) February 5, 2006 -- Honey K. Productions have chosen The Horne Brothers ("Dollar", "The Sun Will Rise") to associate produce and direct "The Kissing Bandit". The screenplay, based on a the play of the same name, was written by Kay Eatman and Honey Rothschild. With the project already in preproduction, filming will begin in March, 2006,

Journalist/Filmmaker Rahiem Shabazz of Rasha Entertainment ("The Sun Will Rise") has signed on as film consultant, lending his considerable expertise during the production of the film.

"The intensity and excitement of all the parties involved mirrors in so many ways the attitude and feeling that moviegoers will walk away with after viewing this film," said Shabazz.

In "The Kissing Bandit", Dale is a phone retailer whose wife, an ambitious prosecutor, kicks him out because of his sexual performance problems. Soon after, the Kissing Bandit is at his door posing as a dame in distress, eventually rekindling his lost lust. Yet after seducing Dale, she rips him off with the help of an accomplice. Rothschild and Eatman will Executive Produce, with the The Horne Brothers serving as associate producers and directors. One third of The Horne Brothers is award-winning director Byron Horne, whose first feature "Dollar", starring MC Breed, and comedians Ryan Cameron and Bruce Bruce, became one of Blockbuster’s biggest independent hits of 1999.

"We believe in this script. That along with our commitment to render great film making with others who have the same desire was the key to this partnership," said Byron, president of The Horne Brothers.

The movie is being shot with a six-figure budget, and with investment interest increasing, it can easily rise to seven figures, according to an inside source.

"There is a great synergy, which exists between the Horne Brothers and Rasha Entertainment. We have been continually impressed with the caliber of films and talent both companies have undertaken and we look to benefit from our relationship," Honey K. Productions said in a statement.

About The Horne Brothers:
