Arizona Man Seeks Mad Dog Attorney To Sue Bank

Fed up with enticing promises from one major bank that ended up in costing his family over $2000 in just under a year, this AZ man is looking to send a strong message to the banking system.

Chandler, AZ (PRWEB) February 25, 2006 -- A little over a year ago AJ Policci and his wife were excited about the services that one bank seemed to offer to their customers. Delighted that a major bank had taken a position to do something extraordinary to win consumer business, the Policci's opened two accounts.

The excitment was short lived. In the first month they experienced a theft from their account. Apparently an employee in the California office of the bank was able to use an ATM to steal over $800 of the Policci's money. When the Policci's filed a report, the bank accused them of taking the money themselves. When the Policci's explained that would have been impossible because they hadn't even received their own ATM cards yet, the bank investigated.

The case was eventually settled and the Policci's were refunded their money, but had over a two week wait to even access their money. "That should have been a sign" says AJ, over the next few months, the banks system of processing charges when the Policci's used their debit card, actaully allowed money that wasn't in the account to be withdrawn. Then the bank would assess overdraft fees and daily charges to the Policci's account.

The final straw came when a charge of less than $2 resulted in over $67 worth of fees. Then AJ demanded the account be closed, vowing never to give the bank another dime. It wasn't that easy. The bank reported the unpaid fees it had assessed to the Policci's account to Check Systems, making it impossible for them to open an account elsewhere.

After paying the fee's the Policci's are still showing that they owe the bank. Says Policci "It's ridiculous. These banks promise you things like great service, free checking and more... well our great service and free checking not only cost us over $2000 in ridiculous fees, but countless hours of lost time and frustration."

The Policci's are currently seeking an attorney who will file a class action suit against the bank to change their procedures and are seeking stories from other consumers who have not only have similar problems with a bank. Interested counsel or consumers may contact AJ Policci via fax at 480-821-0867 or e-mail obtainable at www.copywritingtips.com.
