Canine Creek Receives Small Business of the Year Award
Canine Creek Dog Wash & Boutique is recognized by the Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce, and receives 2006 Small Business of the Year award.
Tehachapi, CA (PRWEB) February 5, 2006 -- Canine Creek Dog Wash & Boutique, a 1,600 square foot self serve dog wash and retail shop with an online sales website, was recently awarded the 2006 Small Business of the Year by the Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce. The owners and staff were recognized at the Denim & Diamonds gala at the Lodge at Woodward West in Stallion Springs on January 27, 2006. Businesses that receive this award are those who have made a positive contribution to the local community through volunteer efforts, continual involvement, and support of charitable organizations.
In addition to its success as a small business, Canine Creek was recognized for its ongoing support of the Humane Society and other pet rescues, offering low-cost, in-store shot, nail trimming and microchipping clinics, providing educational talks to students and clubs about pet-related business opportunities and service animals, bringing healthy pet food and treats to Tehachapi, and volunteer efforts as puppy raisers for Guide Dogs of America since July 2000.
The owners of Canine Creek Dog Wash & Boutique, Susie and Bill Atherton, were presented with several plaques from local, county and state officials, including Assemblyman Kevin McCarthy, from California State Assembly District 32.
