Boston, MA (PRWEB) February 6, 2006
SLIM Technologies announces its schedule for a series of Online Users Conferences to be conducted in 2006. The Online Users Conferences are designed to help SLIM Technologies’ users and partners maximize the optimization benefits of SLIM, the industry’s leading supply chain design package.
Kevin Jacobs, SLIM Technologies VP of Business Development stated, “We are very excited about the value these conferences will provide to our users and partners. Our user base has been growing rapidly, and we are constantly advancing our optimization technology and capabilities. Consequently, it has become increasingly important for us to have regular training sessions where clients and partners can be exposed to our latest software enhancements and determine how best to apply those enhancements within their own supply chain optimization initiatives.”
The SLIM Online Users Conferences will be conducted each quarter during 2006. The format consists of hands-on modeling examples using SLIM, together with interactive discussions with and feedback from SLIM users.
The initial Conference is scheduled for March 2, 2006 and will have a heavy focus on modeling cycle times in SLIM. According to Dan Sobbott, SLIM Technologies General Manager, “The response from our users and partners to these Conferences has been almost overwhelming. In fact, we are in the process of scheduling a second conference in the first quarter of 2006 because of the strong response. A second conference will also allow us to accommodate the time differences of our users and partners in the Asia Pacific. Clearly, our clients and partners find substantial value in the training services we are offering through these conferences.”
About SLIM Technologies
SLIM Technologies has been helping leaders in the retail, consumer goods, industrial manufacturing and medical products optimize their supply chain strategies since 2000. Based on years of experience, we understand that “one-size fits all” supply chain network modeling doesn’t work in today’s complex global supply chains. That’s why our supply chain design software offers Pinpoint Optimization, or the unique ability to move from macro to micro analysis across all critical supply chain dimensions – time, geography, costs and capacities. Customers like Alcoa, Best Foods, Canadian Tire, Doane Pet Care, Finn Forest, Genencor and IKEA enjoy substantial cost savings that translates directly to their bottom line.
