Up to six times the resolution of today’s standard definition, replicated HD-DVD’s are a giant leap forward for filmmakers looking for high-definition delivery. With this year marking the introduction of this exciting new format, the first HD-DVD player from Toshiba that are due for initial availability in March, will allow more and more filmmakers to explore this new format.

“With so many manufacturers and content owners now publicly supporting HD-DVD, Pacific Disc wanted to be among the first DVD replication companies to offer this astonishing format to our customers”, said Morris Anderson, Founder and President of Pacific Disc. “No longer reserved just for the big-budget Hollywood projects, Pacific Disc will soon be able to offer replicated HD-DVD’s at affordable prices.” http://www.pacificdisc.com

HD-DVD was “all the buzz” at last month’s CES 2006 event in Las Vegas, with many announcements made supporting this new format. Not only will the first players start showing up in the next few months, but major players like Amazon have launched a high-definition specific DVD Store, allowing customers to preorder HD-DVD titles & players. Microsoft announced a HD-DVD drive for their X-box 360 platform and many large studios announced they would be releasing major HD-DVD features this year.

Pacific Disc will continue to add information to our website as the final details are fleshed out in the coming weeks. Visit Pacific Disc (http://www.pacificdisc.com) to be kept up to date and to be added to our mailing list to receive HD-DVD replication updates as more information is available.
