Dynamic Writers is pleased to announce two winners from the Predators & Editors Readers’ Choice Awards.
Jeanne Lyet Gassman received a 10th place award in the “Non-Fiction” category and SONORAN MIRAGE received 1st Place honors for “Best Book Art.”
Of the hundreds of Non-Fiction entries, Gassman’s 10th place award was for her memoir, "Healing Arts," a gripping memoir of a mother afflicted with Alzheimer’s Disease as told through the eyes of her daughter. Taking First Place In the “Book Cover Art” category, Sonoran Mirage, an Anthology from the Writers Round Table Phoenix, was one of dozens of works included in the readers’ voting selection. The first place award is a welcome addition to the growing list of acknowledgments this book has received. Last year, Writer’s Digest magazine awarded Sonoran Mirage a certificate of recognition as a participant of the 12th Annual Writer’s Digest International Self-Published Book Awards.
Predators & Editors is a resource service for composers, game designers, artists and writers. Each year they host a Readers’ Choice Awards in a variety of categories. Results of the voting will be made official in February 2006.
Jeanne Lyet Gassman, an award-winning author, has been published in literary magazines, newspapers, magazines, and anthologies nationwide. Most recently, two of her articles were published in Mike's Writing Newsletter (“The Positive Side of Rejection,” and “Talk the Talk;” October 21, 2005). This bi-monthly newsletter, published by award-winning writer/journalist Michael P. Geffner.
